About The Event

A Fall Equinox service will be celebrated on the beautiful indoor labyrinth at First United Methodist Church on Wednesday,

The fall equinox is one of the two times in the earth's annual cycle around the sun in which day and night are equal in length (the other time is the spring equinox). It is the midpoint between the summer solstice, the longest day of the year, and the winter solstice, the longest night of the year.

Rev. Barbara Middleton will open the event, and sound artists Joy Sylvia and Michael Heartsong will provide mystical sounds using a variety of instruments while you walk the labyrinth. Absolutely everyone is welcome at this FREE event. Love donations are welcome for our musicians.

Walk the labyrinth with the mystical sounds of didgeridoos, handpan, flute, drum, vocal toning and more. The labyrinth and sound are both ancient tools for journeying within to connect, release and renew. The soundscapes will set the tone for a full hour, allowing time for you to relax and bathe in the healing space before and after your walk. The instruments played will provide a rich tonal spectrum to invoke ‘deep listening’ - a sense of becoming fully present and listening with the whole body.

This event is FREE and open to the public (no young children please).
